Under 10s

Sponsored by the Commercial Club Albury

Our Under 10's program is a competition and training based program designed for 8-10 years old, who are ready to join up with a team and play hockey! They can learn the basics of hockey while having fun and getting involved in the club-based system in their region.

Structure

• 10 minutes skills session
• 2 x 15 minutes halves
• 5 minute half time
• Approx. 8 aside
• Half field
• Umpires to enforce modified rules – (rules to come)
• There are no scores kept or finals. The structure allows the children to prepare for the next level of competition (U12’s hockey). Focus will be on skills, positions, umpires signals and modified rules, which will make the transition to the next level easier.

• Albury/Wodonga at the Albury Hockey Centre – from 10am–10:45am starting on Saturday 22 April and running through Terms 2 & 3
• Corowa – Thursdays 4.30-5.30pm
• Wangaratta – Thursdays 4.30-5.30pm

It is COMPULSORY for all juniors to wear a mouthguard when training and playing games. You can purchase mouthguards from the canteen on a Saturday morning during the season or from your local pharmacy or sports store
